Planting seeds in eggshells


You’ll need :
  • 12 empty eggshell halves from large eggs.
  • Potting soil.
  • Easy to grow flower, vegetable and herb seeds.
  • Plastic egg carton.
  • Clear plastic bag larger than an egg carton.
  • Water spritzer or plastic squeeze bottle for watering
When it’s time to transplant the young plants outdoors, place them in the soil, eggshell and all. Crush the eggshells a bit and they will provide nourishment to the soil and your growing plants.

Turn empty wine bottles into a hanging herb garden The idea is to use the copper tubing as a central axis for the garden. You would have to first hang one end to the ceiling using a hook or whatever you find appropriate. Then the tubing will go all the way to the floor and will end in an empty wine bottle. The bottle will serve as a sort of anchor. On this axis you will place the other containers. They are also made from wine bottles. But this time the bottles have to be cut in half and you will use only the upper part hanging upside down. Aphids are soft, pear-shaped, and very tiny. They have long antennae. And two short tubes project backward from the tip of their abdomen. Some types of aphids have wings, Aphids may be green, pink, yellowish, black, or powdery gray. Nymphs resemble adults but are smaller and wingless. Both adults and nymphs suck plant sap, which usually causes distorted leaves, buds, branch tips, and flowers. Severely infested leaves and flowers may drop. As they feed, aphids excrete a sweet, sticky honeydew onto the leaves below. This allows a sooty mold to grow, which, in addition to being ugly to look at, blocks light from leaves.
